No. Whataboutism is meant to deflate an argument, saying that since someone else does something bad, this is acceptable. I am saying that both are doing it, and both are bad because of it.

Yeah, it’s not like anyone is saying Hamas are great, but it’s a bit rich for Israel to be saying they care about Palestinian victims of Hamas when they do the same to their prisoners and are actively engaged in ethnic cleansing.
Interesting how the response in comments entirely depends on whose doing the torturing despite the fact that in both cases we’re still talking about the same group of civilians.
