“I don’t think that this ‘peace process’ is for Ukrainians’ sake. It is laughable that they pretend it is,” said Iryna, 26, a lawyer from Kyiv.

Iryna was among thousands of Ukrainians who got in touch with the Guardian to share how they felt about the Trump administration-led peace talks with Russia, which exclude Ukraine.

“It doesn’t seem like a negotiation to me, more like a cruel auction. My main concern is that we are being sold for someone else’s gain. I am afraid that the USA sees us as just an asset to sell and move on, while Europe is too concerned about itself.”

Stop calling it peace talks. Killing someone so they don’t fight anymore IS NOT PEACE.

It’s not Biden or Trump. US is not gonna let the defence investment evaporate to nothing. They never cared about the ukrainians. All is a dominance competition with Russia.

From what I’ve seen Tump’s peace talk strategy seem to be “talk to the bad guy (usually a friend of his), see what they want and give it to them without even hearing the other side”. I mean in the Russia/Ukraine conflict and Israel/Palestine, has he actually HEARD the other side?

Trump is owned by Putin. There’s no hearing of any sides. Any talk about peace in this context means surrendering to Russia so they can start the next step in ww3.
