I just want to take tbis moment to thank Target for their thoughtful removal of DEI policies. You see I’ve wanted to move for a really long time and my wife always had a requirement that anywhere we moved to would have a target nearby. It complicated the process. But now, I don’t have to adhere to that requirement anymore, because we don’t buy anything from them anymore. It’s great. So thanks Target for showing my wife you were a lousy bunch of scum sucking greedy pigs. I’ve known for years, but it’s nice to have proof.

They’re the only store around here that had a certain flavor(cherry chocolate almond) of kind ice cream bar, but I haven’t been back in a long time anyway, nor do I intend to.

Targeted points work. Often the left tries to do general strikes or boycott everyone. Thats hard. What’s not super hard is agreeing it’s a dick move to eat at chicfila or boycotting target when they roll back dei.

Target flip flopped in the stupidest way possible. It’s like their top guys don’t read any reports or that they already removed their diversity and thus anyone that could tell them who exactly shops their before they announced this. lmao 😂 and they can’t backtrack it!

Porque no los dos. There were a lot of people shopping there on autopilot. That whole Target run thing was real, you walk in get your prescription need to wait around for 30 minutes go through housewares realize you needed some chips, buy some stuff to make for dinner, now you’re walking out of there with a $300 receipt.

They’re going to have a hard time re-engaging those people.

Haven’t been in a target since they bent the knee, and won’t till they fully reinstate Diversity Equity and Inclusion policies.

I don’t think he’s wrong. By shopping there once they make the desired changes, you signal to the company what you want to see from them. Other companies notice too. You reward them with your business. But by boycotting then all together, then they have no reason to make progressive policies. I think it’s better trying to steer the shitty company than letting them get worse.

I’ve only ever lived once place where there was a Target conveniently close, but it was in a shopping center that was an absolute nightmare to get into and out of. I would still order from them online here and there, mostly clothes. But the last few times I’ve ordered clothes online from Target, it’s been absolute crap quality. My last order actually qualified as false advertising. I ordered a button up shirt. It turned out to be velcro, with only one or two buttons at the very top. And the shirt was so short, it exposed the bottom of my belly button. Prior to that, I ordered a pack of underwear that stunk so bad of chemicals, it made me nauseous.

So, regardless of all the other crap going on with Target, I’d already stopped shopping there.

That article says they’re closing for Easter, which is not an uncommon thing in the US-- for example, Costco will also do that. Nothing to do with the boycott, or “looting”.

I fell for the classic blunder. I thought that it was today. Yeah closing for Easter… Heck most holidays was normal. Or after 7pm…
