I forgot how this direction of philosophy was called. Avenarius was one of the main names… But it was debunked by philosophers themselves somewhere in the middle of the XIX century.

Overall, trying to make a separate keyboard out of it isn’t worth the hassle. Just put it in the box where you store things that you can’t just throw away and that “surely will be handy eventually” and forget about it :)

Lembot_0003@lemmy.zipto World News@lemmy.world•China is building the world’s largest national parks systemEnglish35·2 days agoThey always were mostly autocratic, of course they don’t differ much from any other autocratic country.
The interesting part here is that full autocracy is a new thing for the USA. Previously it always maintained some minimum level of democracy. This status quo is ending now.
Lembot_0003@lemmy.zipto World News@lemmy.world•China is building the world’s largest national parks systemEnglish177·2 days agoThat’s the problem with autocracy: too much depends on the monarch. If the monarch is an adequate ruler, then you have something like China: many autocratic nuances, but overall progress. Not so much progress in freedoms, but democracies aren’t famous for granting new freedoms to citizens either. But if the monarch is an imbecile, then you have something like the USA. And it’s only the start. Less than half of the year has passed. Can’t even imagine what Trump will do with the USA in 2-3 years. And he “works” fast.

Lembot_0003@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•For All That Is Good About Humankind, Ban SmartphonesEnglish196·3 days agoSmartphones make us more social, allowing us to reach each other ad hoc, not just by planning the meeting for a week. They makes us more free by providing helping tools like GPS and similar. They make us happier by helping to kill time while standing in the line or riding on the bus.
You’re doing something wrong.

Other formats are scarce and mostly of low quality. So you still should learn to read even if you have “really bad executive dysfunction/ADHD/whatever issues” like OP.
Well, yes. Actually it does matter. Modern materialistic approach lets us assume that physical laws (no matter if we know them or not) are universal and applicable to anything. “Dream” concept leaves us in total chaos without even a theoretical chance to figure out how things work. It even has totally crazy synchronization problems between different “dreamers” if there are a few of them. There isn’t a single question that is answered by Machism. Absolute religion-tier stupidity.
So it does matter.
