I’m looking something the can download mp3 from Spotify. All the direct download sites in the mega thread don’t have what I’m looking for. All the web app just scrap youtube and keep getting wrong songs or covers. And I’m to stupid to get any of the pc apps to work with out a step by step guide.
I’m using this https://github.com/glomatico/spotify-aac-downloader downloaded my whole 3000 library
Be me
- sing up at tidal
- go for one month master hifi subscription
- get a student discount and pay only 50%
- transfer all music from spotify, soundcloud, yt music to tidal
- downloaded the whole music collection in highest res flac format through tidal-dl
- cancel subscrption
- repeat once a year
SpotiFlyer is the one I keep around, though I don’t use it much. I just remember coming across it on Reddit and it works well.
There’s another app named soundbound from the same developer…Need to install extensions to download songs from different sources…
It’s not Spotify but deemix has been the best thing I’ve used in a long time.
Seconding this, it’s not being developed anymore but you can still get the program off archive.org
You can use Spotrip. The original developer made his code private in fear of DMCA takedowns, but there are a few forks around.
Zotify
Link for those interested: zotify.xyz.
It’s CLI based and has lots of options for bulk downloads or searching individual songs/albums/artists to download.
I’d be interested in answer to this that allow downloading podcasts from Spotify as well. I’d like to get all of the armchair expert episodes on there so I can load them into the same app I use for all of my other podcasts.
