A former convict who fought in Vladimir Putin’s war went on to kill six people with an accomplice after being freed from prison, police in Russia claim. People in Russia have raised concerns over former convict fighters in the war being rewarded by Putin.

Good analogy for Putin himself putting up his rampage in Ukraine resulting in thousands of completely senseless deaths of both Ukrainians and Russians.

I’m really disappointed in the Russian people for just bending over and taking it, when they could instead put that fucker’s head on a pike and end this shit right now.

There is no way the Russian citizens could effectively perform a coup d’état the same way any other citizenry of a developed country cannot. The military technology of the major powers is so far beyond what a militia or insurgency could effectively defeat. You can’t take shotguns and hunting rifles against tanks and aircraft

And before you say Afghanistan, they didn’t beat anyone, they were just taking too long to die and political will died off. That wouldn’t happen with a domestic rebellion.

They don’t need to take on tanks and aircraft. The second that dude shows his face anywhere, a hunting rifle would do just fine. And in lieu of him showing his face, target those just beneath him. Take popshots at his enforcers. Burn down EVERY recruiting office. Shit like that.

Russians are doing very little to express they’ve had enough, so instead they line up to be more meat for the grinder.

People in the West either don’t know or forget that Russian governments have a very long history of crushing any dissent through torture and murdering millions. Just read how Stalin was personally going through cities and towns killing everyone who disagreed with him. Have you ever seen a Western leader killing hundreds with his own hand? Not even Hitler was such a lunatic.

The second someone decides to kill Putin, he and his whole family will be dead.

Dang, that’s a lot of straw-man. Wanna try responding to something I actually posted, or is this just some copy-pasta you throw at anything with knee-jerk relevance?

You’d think so, wouldn’t you? I wonder if the answer would be that simple. Warfare has never been just the shooting.

That’s not how any of that works at all. You cannot patrol a street corner or kick in doors with tanks and planes. On top of that, when you bomb someone’s house that you deem a “militia member” you’re killing the neighbors around that person as well. Even worse, your soldiers at least in foreign countries don’t have to shoot people that look like them, and usually speak the same language.

I agree 100% Yet you will (and did) get people arguing left and right that uprising is not possible. Russian revolution and French revolution want to have a word. I consider russian people accomplices in what putin has done. But no, people will keep arguing and making excuses. Despicable.

Oh, and I saw an argument on how absurd guns are against a tyranny government. Is that the end of a 2nd amendment discussion on why you need to have guns as a citizen?

Absolutely, no civil armory will topple governments. Hence my ‘jab’ at 2A theories.

However, you seem to split a society into 2 groups (civil and military) and this not always the case. If people truly want to break free then they can as the military part is also society and thus can join the uprising.

Taking the stance that an uprising is not possible is dangerous one to me though. If you feel that even with he right cause an uprising can never happen due to the armory of the military then you need to take a good hard look at the society/country you live in because it is not a healthy one. Believing you can never hold your government to account is a sad position to be in. If this is the case, what do you do to change this ruling class? Just ‘take it’ or ‘change it’ ?
