Saw an article the other day about Ukraine’s use of decoy weapons and vehicles to waste Russian munitions. They’re getting more sophisticated!
Decoy hotels even
Toss a visible starlink dish on top, put a few broken cars outside and voila!
I believe Russians wouldn’t be able to resist bombing a site with a “Children here” sign.
Throw in a “hospital” sign and you get an impossibly tempting target for the Russians.
“Orphan Children Cancer Hospital” would shoot right up the Kremlin’s top target list.
Perhaps you should just stop painting Top Secret on top of random buildings.
They just want to be as cool as Ukraine
Their intel is…not good.
Starting with… what navy. Ukraine has a few boats, it’s hillarious that Russia tries to play this up like there is an Ukrainian fleet that is now headless and about to be defeated.
Russia is the only one of the two with a proper fleet in the Black Sea and somehow they still don’t have controls of the waters.

I don’t think that they have any ships at the moment. I bet that the boats are theirs, though.
If you remember that raid they did recently with special forces on RIBs, the thing that took out that coastal S-400 in Crimea, I bet that they did that.
googles
Well, they were involved.
The day after the destruction of the S-400, Ukrainian special operations forces belonging to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), supported by the Ukrainian Navy landed on the west coast of Crimea near the settlements of Olenivka and Mayak. GUR’s Telegram channel reported that “special units on watercraft landed on the shore” before engaging Russian troops stationed in the area with the Ukraine units reporting having suffered no losses.
Starting with… what navy.
My guess is that it probably still exists as an institution. It sounds like the Neptune missiles are their thing, so they’re probably the ones firing those. They may not be at that hotel, but…
EDIT: I’d also give good odds that they’re the guys doing the USV attacks.
If Ukrainian forces can make it to the shores of the Sea of Azov, my guess is that the Ukrainian Navy’s role is going to get considerably more interesting, as I expect that they’ll be responsible for doing the cutting of Russian supply lines over water to Crimea. As things stand, they can maybe interdict vessels in the Black Sea, but not the Sea of Azov, so they can’t really fully cut off supply over water.
And the Black Sea fleet has left the Black Sea after the dry dock attack by Ukraine. They’ve fled to the Sea of Azov.
As an American, I cannot in good faith call that flotilla of rusting missile platforms a “proper fleet”.
