Yeah I am a bit biased and chose the Anthony Rapp/Michelle Hurd photo first but look at this!

I’m sure there are tons more but I’m grabbing them from this Rolling Stone article. Turns out Rapp is even a member on the negotiating committee.

You just gotta love seeing Trek actors sharing the same strength as their characters. Makes me feel all tingly. I hope this strike ends soon and not so we get more Trek sooner but so these amazing people get what they are rightfully owed.

Netflix washed their hands of it after the first season.

Really the correct takeaway from this is that bad writers are bad at writing good Star Trek, good writers are bad at writing bad Star Trek

No idea I’ve never found a legal way to watch it. Anyway it’s aimed at kids isn’t it weird target audience but there you go.

We’re talking exclusively about Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds being good. No idea about the other stuff.

Although apparently Picard picks up so I might try watching it again

      Really dude?

First off, you don’t get to decide what is Star Trek and what is not Star Trek.

Second, that analogy about it being the force is broken as hell and I have some duct tape and a hyperspanner to fix it if you want.

Third, you look at this post seeing the actors striking and your FIRST thought and reaction is to go "Oh I know! I’m going to instead shit on the show and insult it while literally ignoring every single part of the post talking about representation.

You can not like the show all you want. That’s fine. There are plenty of shows I don’t like. But you don’t get to decide what’s canon and it’s also pretty insanely tone deaf to insult the shit out of the show, the actor, and gatekeep Star Trek considering Trek stands for shit like inclusion and different representation and different spectrums and different sides.

This kind of behavior is just kinda gross in general but especially nasty when you consider what Trek is about.

Edit: Sorry. Got a bit angy. Just really really tired of this take and I’m a bit hangry this morning.

But what about horrific violence and gore? Clearly that’s what has been missing from Star Trek all these years.
