Not all apartments are rented. Am not against the sale or purchase; just the mis-information that you cant grow it yourself in a small apartment.

It’s completely possible in apartments. Tent, light and air extractor connected to hepa filter removes majority of the smell. A small tent (60cm x 60cm x 1.2m) manages a plant or two.

Then just subscribe for that month and then cancel. We switch around from all of them; one month netflix, next month HBO, apple the next, etc… Don’t understand why people keep the subscriptions when they dont use the service…

Been using Plex for years as bought the Plex lifetime deal when it was on offer many many moons ago. Is jellyfin any better? (My biggest concern with Plex is that they have a list of all my content I believe so not happy about that).

Should add use a nvidia shield with an external hard drive with all the content on it and stream to other android devices (fire sticks).

Sure and I agree with you. He has been very open with his struggles with depression over decades. They are reporting he is receiving medical care and will be for the foreseeable future; and given how recent this is likely to have been triggered by him finding out it was going to be reported last Thursday.

Of course there is also the point that this has been blown out of all proportions. The police don’t seem to be pursuing a case and now some news outlets are saying he broke lockdown rules. Well frankly a huge number of people broke lockdown rules…

I do feel sorry for him and hope he gets the care that he needs as the press are going to be like a dog with a bone; especially the murdoch owned tabloids who want the bbc shut down.

They are pushing he has ‘mental health issues’ which doesn’t sit right. Looks like they are trying to say his behaviour was due to these issues. It’s not fair to others suffering with their mental health….

More like 6.5 lives for each year as he will likely only serve 6 years…

As I understand it 16 is the legal age of consent. So a pensioner can have sex with a 16 year old and no legal laws are broken. (Unless the elder is a teacher, sports tutor, medical professional of the tenager). What is illegal though is to ask for or send explicit photographs of someone before the age of 18…

Also the Sun newspaper is a hypocritical shit rag. They were printing topless photos of Sam Fox on their daily page 3 ‘feature’ when she was 16……

Let me first clarify that I do believe climate change is real and something that we need urgent action on.

However in my 50+ years on this planet there has always been something to keep the people in fear and usually with cataclysmic consequences. In my lifetime the world or humanity should have ended already due to nuclear war, nuclear energy, peak oil, famine, over population, super weather (floods/hurricanes), acid rain, ozone layer depletion, y2k, ocean death, ice age (predicted in the 70’s), Yellowstone park eruptions, asteroid impacts, etc

The problem is when you have lived your entire life hearing that the end of humanity is near, you become desensitised to it and so when we do face a global catastrophe we are so apathetic.

Just went down a rabbit hole… Turns out IPTorrents give a different torrent file for each user so it’s independent of IP address. It’s the torrent client that reports back the down and upload volumes. Now need to see if this info could be used by the rights holders for claims…

That makes sense but leads me to another question… How do site like IP torrents track the user upload / download ratio? Say if I were to log in and use my home internet connection to download a torrent file from there and then use a seedbox to do the download the contents? It can’t be IP based as the IP’s would be different; is each torrent file downloaded different for each user?

If I were to torrent I could see myself using a seedbox for the downloading and uploading but sure I would be lax when it came to visiting the torrent site so my ip address would likely be captured… ;-)

On a similar note how safe is it to use private torrents such as IPTorrents? They obs keep a log of users and upload/download stats and probably the torrents downloaded and ip addresses. Surely rights holders would be better off going after this data no?
