Sketcher is used as the first step for an extrusion iirc but draft is what he wants. It is just more built for 3D models to be turned into drafts rather than making a draft from scratch.

FreeCAD is pretty capable but it’s openly 3D focused and doesn’t make for a great 2D only solution. However, for some simple work with remodeling, it might be fine.

The vid I linked to basically said that the game is ok but derivative and not that great. The main point he was making is to point out how the “controversy” around the game doesn’t actually exist. It’s a bunch of made up crap by grifters to make idiots foam at the mouth. And it worked. I don’t think it’s right to assume that people who block political online content are doing nothing. Hell, I think it’s more likely that people who consume a lot of political content feel that they’re doing something when they aren’t.

According to Wikipedia, the Pantsir shoots small missiles with radar or optical guidance. No idea why it missed.

I watch this one history yt channel that goes through the moment to moment details of various battles. One thing I learned from that is that things just go wrong all the time in wars. Missiles fail to launch, radars malfunction or aren’t properly calibrated, a manufacturing defect turns a potent weapon into a dud, etc.

I’m not sure what all those words mean so I’m not gunna do that. I might learn these things later but I’m trying not to frontload a lot of the learning.

Why would I need to remove the Windows SSD if adding a second? Just to make sure I don’t accidentally overwrite it during install? Is there some other risk I’m not thinking of?

Good point that I didn’t consider. I actually don’t know if I have 2 slots. I just took a peek in the glass door and I can’t see well enough without unplugging a bunch. Either way, I’m buying another SSD so I guess I’ll make that call when I open my case to put it in.

Yeah I thought about booting from a flash drive as a test run option but I figured that would not be a very accurate way of gauging what the experience is like. Also, it would keep me from “settling in” with Linux because I wouldn’t want files and stuff on a flash drive, which would make me keep my PC at arms length.

I would imagine some sort of heat pump is being used to transfer the heat from the electronics to the radiators. I still wonder how they’re dealing with the heat.

Kei trucks are extremely useful if you’re only ever going to move it around in a city. I wouldn’t want to get on a highway in one of those. To me, this looks like the closest analog to a kei trucks that would still work in the US.

They make it sound like not having stamping is helping them by not requiring expensive machines and a factory with a high ceiling. I’m betting they’re outsourcing the stamping. I’m also betting that they won’t ever deliver a truck.

Definitely not cast. Some suspension parts are cast but most car frames are made from stamped sheet metal welded/bonded together.

No stamping? How are you getting away with that? Are they just outsourcing the stamping for frame parts? There’s no way this thing doesn’t require stamped frame components.

You weren’t lying. I was looking for “knowledge” games similar to Animal Well and Outer Wilds and I saw some reviews making the comparison. Tbh, I was a little underwhelmed at first. I thought it was a good game but it didn’t feel like what I was looking for. But the back half really opened it up. Figuring out the mountain door puzzle was like a jaw on the floor moment. By the end I had several pages of graph paper with notes and sketches.

I used to live in Japan and I had an in-line gas water heater. Outside the bathroom and kitchen was a thermostat for the hot water. I just set the temp for a good shower and blasted the hot water. It was bliss. America really needs to catch up with Japan in bathroom tech in general.
