I feel like a garbage collector would be too much a performance hit for kernel stuff.

Yes
But the trade off is well worth it.
It’s harder to write because it forces you to be careful.
Thank you
Oo can I have an example.
Actually no. They make it difficult and “don’t allow” people downloading data from the wayback machine.
What?
Yes, I know about the web archive. And I know that you can pull data without being logged in. But 100% of that data can be DMCAed at any point.
Alright I’ll bite. What am I missing.
They can all be DMCAd and gone by tomorrow.

No
Not when they’re bound by the DMCA
Maybe they got confused about total power usage (maybe) being more than the green power added?
and also that power is going to get spent no matter what anyway
Yeah but it leads to higher bills for consumers, and generators can get spun down, and it’s keeping fossil fuel plants open, etc.
That’s spaces but worse? Why do you do this?
I use tabs for indentation then spaces after that if I need to offset a line by a specific amount of chars, such as a multi-line output or something.
Edit: to be specific: https://pastebin.com/un6iUmEp . Notice how line 3 has one tab, then several spaces before the first non-whitespace character.
:(
They do that because they can. Write a letter to your mayor or executive of whatever municipality that is.
It’s still public domain.
Their only product is that more programs run in windowd and people love the interface even though they keep fucking with it.
