Macncheese isn’t a big thing in other countries. Now cheesy potatoes with raisins!
Caught covid in line at the gas station for a lottery ticket :(
I check out reddit every few days and tbh lemmy has the same amount of mainstream content. The only difference is that reddit niche subs are more active.
I think the fact that anyone can make the same community on a new instance diminishes niche communities more. If I pick a game on reddit ill find 2 or so instances with lots of use. On lemmy there will be 10 communities all mostly abandoned.
You can feel a difference on reddit though. Quality content and content numbers are greatly reduced from even a month ago.
I pay 150 a month for 20/10mbps (actual is more like 10/5) with a 1.5tb cap. I would stab a baby to get yours.
Nice. It was inevitable. A general lemmy instance needs to protect itself.
Walmart has a policy where you are not allowed to accept tips. If you are caught you are fired. People try to tip all the time for the grocery delivery stuff and if they manage to get money into your hand or the delivery basket you have to inform a member of the management staff. Granted this might not be true at every location but it is part of the corporate training you have to do if you work there longer than 4 months.
and then those same people who want it banned close their curtains and start watching it.
You are now immune so fight them back! Lots of?biting and clawing until they accept you as their leader.
Lets make one but populate it with bots that only repost bs from the other one… (That’s my lemme experience in a nutshell)
I imagine as it grows it will become more useful. It’s not particularly my viewpoint that lemdro.id isnt useful. The opposite is true. I was just pointing out in my original post that, sadly, all I’ve gotten sofar were unhelpful bot responses. I wasnt particularly trying to push an agenda or anything. I like lemdro.id and am registered there and will help where I can to make it better… but also bots… :D
This is one of the bots that responded. I did a “bad bot” type reply to it and it delete or someone delete it’s post. https://lemdro.id/u/GPT4
I dont particularly have an issue with bots and this one is clearly marked a bot. The main issue is that it just searched and summarized the top 10 reddit answers to the same question which I had already done… Im sure the bot didnt break any of the bot rules. It’s just that bots dont generally give good answers to questions without refinement to the parameters. If I was directly using ChatGPT I’m sure I could get it to give an acceptable answer to most questions. But a random bot giving a general answer is not much use. (To me at least).
Sometimes people just dont have answers to the questions… Bots always do sadly even when they are not correct.
Posted a question to lemdro.id last week and solar only got useless bot replies that seemed to have .crolled previous reddit posts about the same question.
That is literally what happens every year with r/place. Hundreds of thousands of bots placing pixels based on pregenerated images. Then the bots fight each other. Then reddit uses their own bots to censor things or mod tools to drop a bunch of random pixels over the top of images to wipe them out.
He has said he plans to support kbin in the future. But he is working on a MVP minimum viable product right now to get something that works out asap and then start addressing things like kbin support down the road. He just needs time and the support of the community. You can follow the project at !lemmy.world/c/syncforlemmy (hopefully I did that right…)
I think people are confusing meters and feet.
Titan’s forward viewport would only certify it to a depth of 1,300 meters due to OceanGate’s experimental design. The filing states that OceanGate refused to pay for the manufacturer to build a viewport that would meet the Titan’s intended depth of 4,000 meters. The Titanic lies about 3,800 meters below the surface.
is 18.5 about to drop? Is there a community for patch notes etc without having to sift github?
I want more games like valheim. Could care less about the graphic HD quality. Just give me a good game that looks good enough I can forget about my actual life for a while.
For the first 12 hrs or so it was just a bunch of as reddit posts. Like 20 pages of it and a few political
The game has a global war that is going on. Every game adds or removes capture points from the world you fought on.
They could have let you play without that but everything is tied in including your player advancement.
