The power of anonymity.
The power of anonymity.
While older generations of Indian women are complacent in this fucked up way of thinking, younger generations are less willing to put up with this shit.
This is true to some extent.
Let’s talk about the privileged here, who can get education. Younger generation, even though being educated, are still conformed to the family and societal norms. Education is still unable to break these conservative norms, as for being a good individual in the face of family and society, you’ve to follow these norms. It starts with disguised discrimination, and the sum of this is the individuals inability to view women as equals to men, or as just mere objects. Misogyny has been internalised. This goes both for young men and women.
Do you want it to become real?
Can we just agree that Inside is a masterpiece and it’s just ineffable for me.
It’s such a great take on mental health and how he suffered through crippling anxiety.
Throughly enjoyed every bit of it.
Lmao, it’s so funny! We pay for made up things in the entertainment industry, but also pay for the truth in media. Ah, capitalism.
IMO, Lemmy will never grow as big as Reddit cause of the obvious voluntary hosting/maintenance of the servers. It’s inevitable that sooner or later, the number of users joining will reach a plateau and then decline gradually — this might happen in the first and second week of August — and it’ll just be a viable option as a Reddit alternative, just like Signal is to WhatsApp.
It’s not about pursuing Reddit to take back the API pricing, at this point people are aware that that’s not gonna happen. Mods also know that if they keep the subreddit private, they’ll soon be removed. I think it’s smart that there is NSFW content in a sub that frequently is shown on r/all. NSFW subs don’t have advertisements, and this will drive away investors.
But yeah, at some point, mods should look for alternatives and just give up IMO. Stop using Reddit altogether.
It was great thinking IMO. They just care about the advertisements and investors. They don’t care about who will watch what content.
Ah well, I’ll put my energy into Lemmy and Fediverse projects instead.
I think this is a better place than Reddit already. It’s fairly new and people are excited about creating content. But I think in reality, sooner or later every sub will be forced to open, and everything will go back to normal. Of course some of the users would’ve completely migrated to the Fediverse or other platforms, and it’s up to us whether the Fediverse survives or not.
R.I.P Invidious. Good ol’ enshittification.
Still ain’t gonna back down.
Watch any content of him opening his mouth, it just reeks of misogyny. So yeah since he’s reported, it checks out.
