69·12 days agoIt’s ego and they actually think they can win against cheat makers. But like it or not, there will always be cheats, for the same reason there will always be cracked copies of their games.

PS - Just let us have our own dedicated servers again. Then we can just banhammer a bitch, instead of relying on a stupid lobby vote system and a report button.

9·12 days agoqalculate is really nice. I even use it on Windows Enterprise installs that normally only have the old Windows 8(?) calculator included since the Microsoft Store isn’t a thing. It’s a huge upgrade compared to that POS.
Don’t worry, they’re gonna eat themselves doing shit just like this. It’s not a matter of if, but when.
“AI” has it’s uses (medicine, engineering, etc.), but 99.99% of the snake oil they’re selling are just gimmicky cash grabs. Classic cases of Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
Let them burn their money, I say. Fuck it. Just sit back and enjoy the fire.
5·13 days agoIt’s probably just personal preference and the door lock issue is probably a security precaution. One of the big ways people are breaking into or stealing modern cars that use “smart” keys is with a mirroring attack. They use a long-ish antenna (1m or so) to pickup the FOB inside your house, then mirror the signal to the car with a phone/tablet. Once they’re in your car, things get even worse. Honda’s for example used to store their security codes in the OBD computer (I don’t know if this is still true). Meaning thieves could plug in a technician OBD tool (they’re like $1,000 on Amazon), then program a brand-new virgin key for your car, right there in your driveway, hit the start button and drive off. All in under 30-seconds. The non-smart keyed cars were even worse, since the alarm doesn’t go off if you pick the lock (no joke lol)
It’s the marketing hypertrain in action. The only real advantages Tesla ever had were their motors (the one designed by the 2 real Tesla founders) and their deal with Panasonic, which allowed them to manufacture batteries in house, bringing down the cost. The car itself was just a plastic shell for the two.
That time has now come and gone. All the other auto companies make competing, if not better motors, and all the other battery companies are also making “tabless” batteries. BMW is even rocking true solid-state batteries in some of their newer cars.
Oh, and the dumpster fire that they call “self-driving”. Can’t forget about that.
He’s very well spoken too, just has a natural authority in his voice and never fumbles over words. In fact, he was supposed to teach one of those microchipped monkeys Quantum Physics. But he’s been so busy lately, that’ll have to be one of his later Gifts to Humanity.
That’s true, ICE & Co. are also all over Mexico right now because of the cartels. The whole border lock down and immigrant round-up thing is only half of their current force. And one of the big things they’ve been doing down there is monitoring/tapping their communication networks.
So yeah, never mind, probably not a good idea. If it was just for torrenting or something it’s probably fine, but beyond that I wouldn’t push it.
I’m honestly hoping for a repeat. Hopefully Microsoft goes down this time too, since they’re heavily into AI. Twitter, Meta, Google and Amazon too. It’s really just the worst of the worst.
It’s more about the latency since it’s right over the border (<30ms). It’s also a full 10Gbps so I can let family/friends use it and don’t have to worry if a few of them are pulling the full 1Gbps from home connection. Doubt I’m gonna be able to match both of those with a Chinese VPS :/

There’s your problem. All that grass makes for a terrible child sacrifice during their pedo parties. The blood soaks right in and you never get a chance to collect it for the Sangria mix.

Yeah, Denuvo is just a pain to crack. It’s not UNcrackable, just a giant pain. Not to mention the methed out psycho that was cracking them has probably gone to rehab or something.
The executables are basically running in an encrypted VM and require multiple keys from Denuvo’s servers to decrypt and run (hence why they want SecureBoot on now). With breaking the VM being the biggest hurdle as they’re each running their own pseudo-machine-code that the VM translates during gameplay. Meaning you can’t just make a universal unpacker/decrypter/patcher type tool that spits raw x86 executables out for you. Nope, it all has to be done “by hand” now. At least from the translation step and on.
