When it’s not working, it’s working.
When it’s not working, it’s working.
The Japanese soldiers on Iwo Jima knew they’d never win, so their objective became to kill at least 10 enemy soldiers before they die themselves.
If you’re going to go, take as many with you as possible.
There has to be a tipping point, when so many people turn at once, that the authorities cant control it, and that emboldens many more to join the cause. That’s how revolts happen.
She’s offering them the “benefit of the doubt,” to let them correct their error. Unfortunately, the general response to mistakes is to double down on their stupidity.
Those Doge Pukes should have been gunned down in the first government lobby they tried to storm. At that point, they had all the authority of pirates, and were operating totally illegally. Now they’ve been “authorized.”
You have to boil them “low & slow,” so they tenderize, and they’ll be falling off the sole. Sous Vide would also work.
It could happen, but the country would have to decline so far, that even Republican voters are screaming at their elected officials for action, or else. When they start feeling that their reelections are in danger, they’ll turn on him hard.
My first presidential election was in 1980. I have voted in every election since, and I have NEVER voted for a candidate I liked. The best I could ever hope for was the lesser of two evils, and sometimes the difference wasn’t so wide.
But that wasn’t the case in 2024, where the difference between the two sides was far wider than I have ever experienced. I am very distressed at the situation in Haza, and I did not support Biden’s weak, cowardly approach at all, but I also knew that Trump’s approach was going to be far, far worse. And Harris’ approach was an an unknown, since she refused to say anything that signalled any difference in policy from Biden.
But all of it is just blathering because that didnt make any difference in this election. It was totally rigged, and we ALL know it.
I caught that the instant he said it. So they are planning another round of Market Manipulation in a month or two, got it.
We’ve already had 3 rounds, in less than 90 days. It seemed like his 90 day pause on this last round was a bit longer because he wanted to let it cool down, but I knew he wouldn’t be able to resist the lure of dirty money at the expense of the poors.
I’m happy for the heads up. Unfortunately, I dont have the kind of money required to take full advantage of this, but at least Ill know to hang on.
Ok, maybe not all, but the countries we tend to equate ourselves with recognize it.
How many countries isn’t the point, anyway. It’s in the Constitution, in any case.
And I respect their service greatly. They actually provide a very valuable service to society.
Cops, on the other hand, are primarily predatory. As much as we see this sort of violent behavior, most of their job consists of sitting by the side of the road and pulling innocent drivers over and giving them a tax increase in the form of tickets. Most people don’t go through their day worring about getting shot by cops, but every driver spends every minute on the road watching out for cops.
I have a close friend who was born in Venzuela, and became a citizen in January. She feels much safer now, and thinks she’s in the clear. I’m still worried about her, but i don’t want to scare her with my own anxiety.
These MAGA Nazis want to get rid of Birthright Citizenship, which every nation in the world recognizes. If they won’t even respect that, they aren’t going to respect anything else - including Green Cards or Naturalization.
Bottom line - if you were born in another country, you are an enemy, and they want you out.
Fair enough, but it seems like the cops should have the intelligence and situational awareness to understand the stopping power of a chain-link fence.
Im not a TRAINED cop, but I know that as long as he’s on the other side of the fence, armed only with a knife, I’m in no immediate danger, and I would use my words and my intelligence to try to talk him down.
If he jumps the fence, then it’s a different situation, but as long as he is caged, there are a LOT more steps to go through before we land on a magdump by multiple cops.
Frankly, I think the situation here is that one super-cowardly (or overly aggresive and trigger-happy) cop panicked and fired, and the rest unloaded, too, just to cover for the first one. Now they can’t just blame one bad cop, they have a bunch, which makes it look more justified. They probably talk about this strategy in the locker room - “If one fires, we all fire.”
Yeah, he doesn’t have superpowers, but he is carrying a taser, an asp, and a gun at all times, and he has an arsenal in his trunk.
Cops are always whining about how dangerous their job is, but lists of Dangerous Jobs usually have them in the high teens. Sometimes they dont even make the top 20.
I’ve had two jobs in the top 5, and I have NEVER walked around demanding respect because my life was in constant danger.
Fucking babies.
If you are traveling out of the country, leave your real phone at home, and get a burner phone for travel, with no business or old social media on it.
Take pictures on vacation, and if you have to use social media, start new accounts for your trip, and dont post ANYTHING political or controversial, just vacation posts.
As someone who makes at least part of their living from tourists, i agree. Avoid America right now. Most foreign tourists travel to Florida, which is the MAGA Nazi Homeland. Stay away, and make them feel it. I’ll ride it out.
There are a lot of variables.
The kid was on the other side of a chain link fence fence! He was literally in a cage.
Why do we put the community’s biggest cowards in charge of protecting us?
Bullying a bully isnt bullying.
C’mon, thats not fair! He also wanted to stay out of prison. He’s a multiple objective kind of guy.
