Actually walgreens and cvs are pretty handy, I was able to stock for a small party on the cheap, and they’re every block or two

I’m currently here, and I have a $50/day resort fee, there is a parking fee (no car so don’t know it), $500 if they think someone smoked in the room, my $27 room service was $44 after convenience fees to take it up an elevator in the same building. $125 to stay an extra 2 hours on check out.
I’m here right now, wrapping up from a conference.
This place is dead.
I’ve been to Vegas many times, and the lack of foot traffic and crowds is incredible. The most notable thing is the lack of Americans and the strange increase in Hispanic visitors. I saw 8 separate tejano bands set up near the Bellagio with moderate crowds, similar to how it used to be for buskers in the early 2010s. You can get a reservation about anywhere for dinner, same day. Attractions are all walk in.
I’ve been chatting up my uber drivers, and they think it’s down 30-40% based on ride frequency.
Last time Texas sent troopers to force their will on the North, it didn’t go so well.
That’s very sloppy by the russians, so you have to wonder if five planes were clustered by mistake or logistical issues.
Three at one location… if you change locations it’s a killing spree.
Fun trump story. Obama was quoted saying that the military will present you with 2 bad options and the one they want to do. He said once he made them go back and do the work again because of this.
Early in trump’s first term, he chose one of the two bad options (massive cruise missile strikes out of proportion to the event). This says one of two things.
Either trump didn’t know he was being given bad options on purpose… or he did know, and didn’t care, choosing to do a bad thing to make the military give better options.
Neither would surprise me.
It’s a benign way to attach them legally to the effort. The next step of the slippery slope is to have them act defensively to protect ice agents, but then go back to their administrative duties.
Not sure we can get it done so soon, Virginia… could you serpentine out in the open so we have a bit more time?
Send them paper, that’s their problem.
Ukrainian special forces.
But then it would smell like bird shit outside the oval office as well.
This won’t go away until they release trump’s long-form rape certificate.
I feel the mine density and ability to react with artillery and their own drones still slows the Ukrainians on large scale offensives, we’re seeing conditions even the US never planned for. More likely russia cracked like germany in WW1, a rear collapse that leads to terms.
Is it because they’ll only let you inside if you paid a lot of money?
Fiction accomplished.
Everyone dies alone, especially the evil ones.
Edit: google sent me to the wrong bill, this is in committee. Apparently when I searched for new crypto law text, google thought I wanted bills written by high schoolers about crypto.
https://www.congress.gov/119/bills/s954/BILLS-119s954is.pdf
So I decided to read this bill to work my way through all the FUD and report back, and I can say with some confidence this bill was written by old people with no idea what bitcoin does, and 20-year-olds who think language is substance. Here are some gems:
The facilities to hold the bitcoin need to be spread around in secure places, to prevent theft. Of a digital currency. They literally un-memed “the files are in the computer.”
It does state that Bitcoin is a currency and it shows stability, comparing it to gold. So a point for the fears it legitimizes a very unstable digital currency held by a number of anonymous large stakeholder that can push price.
Terminology vaguely describes vague terms. They define terms poorly, which opens the door to later confusion and argument what they mean. “Fork” I especially call out; I read legal documents and I wouldn’t sign this without clarifications.
The government is buying a million coins over 5 years, then they are permitted to sell 10% a year. So they just backstopped bitcoin.
They are paying for it (in part) by making banks hand in their gold certificates, having them revalued, and making banks pay the difference. Banks will Not like this. I wonder if they’ll refuse the new certificates.
This is a very short bill, give it a read. This is very poorly written and thought out in my opinion, but spot on for the current government. It will, however, greatly stabilize and increase bitcoin prices.
They’re going to speak Chinese on Mars because of this president.
Yeah we sent troops to Louisiana in the 1860s, we can do it again if we need to.
