With games, frequent and regular updates are mainly to keep people returning to the game and to fix bugs. Many apps already implement most of the features people need and dont really need new features for people to keep coming back, so the focus is moreso on maintaining compatibility and fixing bugs like crashes, as well as keeping up with OS updates (which tend not to affect games as severely, though can in some cases). Keep in mind theres a huge number of different phones which are on different OS versions with different system APIs, and msny devs dont test on a large number of devices. Desktop drivers and OSs tend to smooth over a lot of the hurdles there
Sealioning conspiracy nutjob
The mod there was mad banning people who downvoted anything on the sub and got evicted
Part of it was to create new jobs and hire people, meanwhile they - *checks notes* - fired a bunch of people?
Hell, some companies will still hire pinkertons
Thr big problem with this is that pretty much all of our systems rely on infinite uninterrupted growth (e.g. social security) which is just not possible. Rather than tear it down and/or build new systems that dont rely on this, many people who have paid into the system feel ripped off that they have paid into it but will never see the benefits. The people currently collecting hold a lot of political and financial power and would never vote to interrupt that even for the benefit of future generations.
A lot of them don’t know the difference between ab, abp ublock and ublock origin

Which also drops from 30% to 25% after $10M and to 20% after $50M, giving a grand total of:
$10,000,000*0.70+
$40,000,000*0.75+
$17,500,000*0.80=

I’m just imagining the nutrition facts section for that bottle of test strips
It’s essentially the traveling salesman problem
2 bytes would be 0-65535 and 8 sets is ~3.4×10^(38) addresses
Coal plant burns coal to heat water, makes steam, and the steam powers a turbine to produce electricity. A nuclear power plant uses nuclear fuel to heat water and produce steam similar to a coal plant. It may do this indirectly (e.g. second loop between the nuclear fuel and water loop to prevent the water becoming radioactive). This means that to build a nuclear plant you essentially need to build a coal plant, and then also the nuclear reactor and safety stuff, which makes them more expensive. Since coal plants are being turned off anyways, it might be more cost effective to just retrofit old coal plants so the only cost is the nuclear reactor side of things (plus any necessary maintenance and upgrades)
Also if you want a domain but dont care about the actual address, a .xyz domain composed entirely of numbers with less than 10 digits is $1-2 + same as renewal fee per year. $1.22 for me on porkbun
Just be sure to redact the whois information bc you will get a call from scammers trying to get you to register your domain on some “internet map” for a small fee acting as if its some step in your setup process you havent done yet
Typically if you report the phone stolen to your provider they blacklist the IMEI which gets shared with other providers so the phone can no longer be used. I was unclear on this part but a new e-sim can be provided for the new phone, and the old sim banned or the old one transferred. Regardless, the old phone will still show the IMEI/sim/phone number, which is how they got that to text them
The phone itself (by IMEI) is a brick. The sim and same phone number were assigned to a new phone and they texted that number
