Sure. I don’t think they went through with it, probably for exactly those reasons. It was a novel prank though.

They bought the land that would be the best possible route for the wall. They also intended to parcel it out in think 1 sqft segments and sell it to people, so eminent domain would have to deal with literally a thousand people possibly filing separate lawsuits.
It was a stunt as I recall, but an imaginative one. They had another that was simply “we dig a hole as long as you donate.” All it was was a dude digging a hole out in the boonies in a field with a digger. As long as they had money to pay him, they kept paying him. It had no point at all. They had a FAQ with a question like “why are you doing this? Why not stop and donate the money to a good cause?” And their reply was “why the fuck are you giving us money to do this? You should stop and donate the money to a good cause.”
According to another article, it was not physical.
Nuzzi confirmed that “earlier this year, the nature of some communication” between herself “and a former reporting subject turned personal.”
“During that time, I did not directly report on the subject nor use them as a source,” Nuzzi added. “The relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict.
I expect some type of flirtation or sexting maybe? Neither is okay for objectivity, but brain worms don’t have phone technology just yet.
So called “Romeo and Juliet” laws. If high schoolers are dating when both are underaged and one person turns 18, it’s meant to protect the 18 year old from sudden sexual assault charges.
Sometimes it’s defined as a year gap, like “you can be 2 years older and still date, but no more.”
Musk was all to happy to comply with Turkey and India to remove accounts critical of their right wing governments. His justification at the time? He has to comply with the laws of the country twitter operates in.
So odd that it he opts not do the above when its far right accounts attacking the left wing government of Brazil.
It’s almost like Musk isn’t doing this for free speech reasons at all and is just selectively censoring people.
A different outlet did. The racist Lee who posted the cat thread said it was from “my neighbors daughters friend.”
A fact check org interviewed the neighbor, and she said Lee was mistaken, and it was actually “a friends acquaintance.” So yeah, right off it became way more ambiguous.
The other issue though is that in her racist tirade, Lee didn’t just mention a cat. She also said geese/ducks had gone missing from the parks, and said she confirmed that with park rangers and police. She of course had not.
Most likely these two idiots got together, her and her neighbor, and each one ginned up part of the story, maybe literally. Then Lee posted it and “inadvertently” created a dangerously racist shitshow for her city and nation.
They verified that all of the devices were in the possession of Hezbollah before they detonated them?
Is what why their pager terrorism killed a child and caused 2000+ injuries, including dismemberment of other children?
Now they just repeated it, I’m sure with the same disregard for living people they have already shown.
parks and rec has got you:
To paraphrase Donna:
“She can get it. Everyone on that show can get it.”

The initial racist Facebook post had a cat in it. That was “my neighbors, daughter, friend” level of made up, but not even that. When the neighbor was contacted by the press, it was actually “a friends aquantance.”
Its cats because a racist 3 times removed from the racist poster of the viral story decided to make it cats. Just racism brain filtered through more racist brains.
In no way is this clickbait. It’s a truly ugly thing that was done to these people.
None of these people volunteered their bodies to science.
The college made a deal with 2 Texas counties to take homeless peoples bodies, “try” to find their relatives, and if they couldnt, then sell their bodies to companies, hospitals and the US army. The college made $2 million+ selling these peoples bodies without consent, to the point where they were expanding their cadavers storage facilities.
Can you see the issue with an organization that is responsible for finding the loved ones of these dead people, but is paid millions of dollars if they don’t? Turns out, after filing a foia request, the reporters were able to find dozens of these homeless people families, sometimes within minutes of trying. Many times there were active missing persons reports, or in one case the next of kin lived in the same city and had the same name as his deceased father. In one case, the family found out about their deceased father after he was already sold. To get him back, they were made to sign a waver allowing the donations. They sold the body again, and did not return it for 1.5 years. When they did, his ashes came in a box with a generic thank you letter and a bill of $56 for shipping.
On publishing their results, the multimillion dollar corpse factory shut itself down and fired its directors. The two Texas counties working with them are opening investigations. When the reporters contacted the companies and the army about the bodies, they all confirmed that they thought the bodies came from intentional and purposeful donations. None of them knew the actual source.
We’ll its a private key, so just a few kb of data. You can likely put it on all sorts of devices. Most services that use it will require some of the above, so I doubt the usefulness, but the same goes for most passwords.
Im curious how you access your passwords with the above criteria. Are you using a notepad with dozens/hundreds of unique passwords, some kind of dice based randomizer, or just a few passwords for many sites?
Nope. The private key can be backed up, stored in an online password vault, copied automatically to other devices, whatever.
There are good and simple answers to this issue.
Passkeys are becoming the industry standard. They are better in nearly every way, but would not have been possible before smartphones.
They are unique for each site, not breachable without also having a users device, not phishable, and can’t be weak by design.
My teams new hire project manager was even more advanced. When they found out we were working on 5-10 projects at once with no PM, they quit.
We had 3 PMs when I started here, and have been down to 0-1 for 6 months. That 0-1 runs a whole unrelated team, but is technical still a PM.
Dysfunction is fun. The plus side? No one asks me for estimates.
Corporations hide crimes all the time, even when they are the victims. If the crime will lose them money in any way, either directly or from a reputation hit, it’s very likely a company will not report it.
It only because the employees involved had their NDAs expire and confirmed they saw some very fucked up things that we know what he did.
Twitch fired him publicly when he was one of their biggest streamers. It’s fully possible the explicitly sexual messages are a crime, but the parties involved, including the minor victim, did not want it reported.
You can argue amazon should have reported it anyway if it rose to that level, but with none of the involved parties forcing the issue, it makes sense from a buisness stance not to.
Vance posted the lie days before Trump lost his damn mind in the debate.
It might have been both of them, but Vance was way out front of it.
The context makes this statement different.
The above is the victim’s mother, who begged her not to marry her murderer. She says this after stating she found divorce papers in her daughter car after her death, which led her to believe he killed her because she was planning on leaving him.
The above is a statement trying to help women to avoid brutal men to begin with, not blaming them for being victims. It’s saying “if he does this kind of shit, don’t put up with it like my daughter did. Get out immediately.”
At no point in her excuses did she say she was joking. She said she is gay and a POC, that she is scared of the consequences of her actions, and that if she was Haitian she would be upset.
She actually never even says she was sorry, just weasel words like “it just exploded” and “this was not my intent” and “was never meant to be seen outside of Springfield.”
She minimizes, back tracks and redirects blame, but never once says the words “I’m sorry” or “it was a joke that got out of hand.”
Those are the actions of a bigot running away from consequences, not a person who made an earnest mistake and is remorseful.
Yes. The cops shot 4 people. The man with the knife, two random people on the train, and one of the cops. One of the random people is in the hospital with brain swelling, and may be brain dead.
The cops claimed they had to open fire because the knife wielding man charged them. This video shows he did no such thing when they shot him, he wasn’t even waving it around. He turned his head with his hands down on at sides, his back to the train, standing still. That’s when two of the cops opened fire on him and a crowded train.
The article that is linked explains what happened.
