I tried running a matrix server last year. I guess I will try again and see if a normie like me can make it somewhat usable.

Lol. For kids I won’t self host, I’ll pay for someone else to host
I’m a woman who does some self hosting. Hi.
Last year my wife said “most games can be run on Linux now because of steam deck, I think I’ll switch to Linux” and I said “well I guess I’m switching too” so I un-installed windows, and I’ve been full time since, even starting to self host jellyfin and nextcloud. She and I have both done linux in the past, but gaming was what was holding us back. There wasn’t anything WRONG with windows per se , except maybe the looming threat of windows 11, I just really love linux, open source, and being able to easily lift up the hood to peek inside
I use arch BTW. And Debian, my first love.
Fruits have plenty of fiber, which helps increase satiety, which is what’s important here. Also check the difference between a candy bar and a piece of friut, and then think about which fills you up better with fewer calories. Density matters too, it’s much easier to snarf down a bunch of candy than to eat the same caloric value in fruit.
I don’t know that you are actually asking the question that you want an answer to. So here’s an answer: it’s okay for each of you to take the amount of time that you are taking to recover. But it also sounds like you both may not be understanding each other’s feelings or feeling like your feelings are being understood. Couples therapy might be helpful. I also recommend “Non violent communication” by Marshall Rosenberg. It’s essentially an extension of the therapisty thing of using “I feel” language.
The answers here are absolutely crazy. Go find some credible biblical scholars (ones whose jobs are not dependent on statements of faith) like Bart ehrman and read what they say. My understanding is that most scholars agree that Jesus existed, and even that he was crucified. Don’t trust lemmy, don’t even trust me, go find the experts, read what they say, and decide for yourself.
Agreed, this is generally true, though personally as a trans woman, I prefer to refer to my child self with gender neutral terms. Others can refer to my child self with my current pronouns, or with gender neutral pronouns.
And I’ve seen plenty of the older square sizes still being sold, so it’s still necessary to mark the different sizes
It was for like…two weeks
Even if you tilt the picture so the world outside is right-side-up, the cabinets are still not right
I use it in my nextcloud. I really like it. I tried to use libreoffice, but I didn’t like it.
Oh, I misread your comment, my bad.
Not true - faxes are widely in use in Healthcare due to hipaa rules
A better idea is to go to irs.gov and use their free file wizard to see which service is free for you. I used 1040.com this year. Last year I used freetaxusa.com, but this year that would not have been free for me due to my change in income. Which service is free depends on your state, income, and income complexity.
The south tried to secede and we fought a war about it, so no, pretty sure it’s not possible.
Absolutely positive the US does NOT have a provision for this. We fought a little war about it once.
I found a few typos. In the 2nd paragraph under the section “strong feelings”, you use “than” when it should be “then”. More importantly, when talking about distributive properties, you say x(x+z)=xy+xz. I believe you meant x(y+z)=xy+xz.
Otherwise, I enjoyed that read. I’m embarrassed to say that I did think pemdas meant multiplication came before division, however I’m proud to say that I’ve unconsciously known that it’s important to avoid the ambiguity by putting parentheses everywhere for example when I make formulas in spreadsheets. Which by the way, spreadsheets generally allow multiplication by juxtaposition.
What was difficult was the constant security checks, it happened like every time I changed devices and occasionally things were encrypted and unable to be read, it felt totally unusable. It’s true that I don’t quite get docker, I have a few services that run on dcker, but most of them run straight on arch. Yes I know arch isn’t ideal for servers, I’ll fix it next summer during school break
