HHD allows those things though?
It even hooks into the Steam TDP controls:
(disclaimer: again, this is a legion go, i cannot confirm that for the rog ally)
I have a Legion Go, not a ROG Ally, so I may be wrong here. But Handheld Daemon (HHD) (included OOTB with handheld images) supports fine TDP/fan controls. You get to it by long-pressing the button that brings up the Quick Access Menu in big picture mode.
wait, is that name “manjarno” like when brad pitt says bonjorno in inglorious basterds??
One of their developers temporarily broke Asahi Linux.
Wait, how??
No, I also found the way he handled it really distasteful. Even before his response, just generally the way the whole thing was attempted under a veil wasn’t great. The actions taken should have been transparent from the start.
I do agree that it shouldn’t be polluting this thread like this though.
Jackass forgets that the US invaded and occupied another country for most of the 21st century.
Typical.
How am I tone policing?
Hackers in Belarus, breaking that countries train system, probably saved Kiev…
I don’t think it’s irrational to have wanted them to be transparent about it, but you do you I guess.
What are you talking about, Windows 8 was a complete shitshow. It wasn’t until 8.1 that it became respectable.
I personally think this is a cop out. Obviously people would have been outraged either way, but personally my only issue is about how it was done. The whole point of the FOSS community is openness and transparency. The senior maintainers of arguably the most important FOSS project trying to operate secretively on something like this has shattered my trust in them, as well as many others.
That’s a valid point to make, but it’s actually both. Russian athletes would have been able to compete under the IOC flag if it was just the doping scandal, from what I understand.
Ah, cool. You’re one of those.
Also, wonder what happened in 2014 that might’ve provoked a response from Russia there.
Ukraine using its right to free association, to sign an agreement with the EU strengthening relations? Specifically including a further formalising of cooperation around Chernobyl (Euratom is independently a signatory), an issue entirely caused by Russia in the first place, who didn’t ever offer a similar level of cooperation? Is that what you’re referring too?
You know that Russia wasn’t able to compete in the Olympics or Paralympics this year, right? The individual athletes weren’t banned however, but they had to compete under a neutral banner and weren’t in the parade of nations.
Edit: I should have added, was disgusted because Israel were allowed to compete. Huge double standard there.
Reminds me of a comment the other day on a post about Ventoy. Whatever the situation there is, which definitely needs clarification still, the person was saying that you shouldn’t trust it at all because the maintainer is Chinese, even though he has emigrated away. Because the CCP will be able to leverage his family still there to force him to create a backdoor.
That’s just thinly veiled racism in my opinion.
Yes, and in the last twelve months those discussions clearly accelerated, and that post made it clear the lead/original dev had made their mind up. Which very much negates you saying this was rushed.
Mikrotik make good hardware, what are you on about?
