He/him
I’m a Blind, and gay, author and essayist. I follow more hashtags than people, and enjoy listening to all kinds of audiobooks. I blog sometimes. Former journalist turned Romance writer. I have a literary agent, and freaking love cats and diverse audiobooks.
@hendrik @Blackbeard Keep an eye on the RBlind folks because they are working on patches to solve this problem but yes, the community of developers could/should step in to make it work. There’s also KBin https://rblind.com/
@ApathyTree @SilentStorms Couldn’t agree more! Ironically, this is what we tried to do before the TwitterMigration, over here on the Mastodon part https://www.hughrundle.net/home-invasion/

@shinnoodles For me, it counts as a boost I believe, but I honestly mostly look at mentions because my notifications constantly explode with boosts, favorites, and or likes/upvotes. Neat, though! Can’t wait until Wordpress fully joins the Fediverse. That’s gonna be really wild!
@shinnoodles @dynge Yes, I can see this even though we are on Mastodon/glitch/hometown. At least, I can, anyway!
@Otome-chan @damipereira @Beardedsausag3 @tal I’m not sure how it automatically puts the, !, in there, but what about removing the, !, and just having @gaming unless Lemmy requires the !?
@readbeanicecream @boomboxnation You can subscribe to either communities with your main account, which is why I am looking for more KBIN magazines to subscribe to, myself. Also waiting on someone to make an audiobook community on one or more of these reddit like platforms.
@tal @damipereira @Beardedsausag3 @Otome-chan Try putting an @ sign before what you just typed. For example, @audiofiction
@Charcoal8645 @edgerunnergit Basically, the Fediverse is a universe of tech designed to talk and interact with each other. For example, I can interact with you even though I don’t have a Lemmy account, and it works the other way too. ActivityPub connects all of us. I’m also sure interopability will strengthen as these services grow. It isn’t just Mastodon focus migrations happening and this is really great!
@MobBarley I wish publishers would release more complete series in bundles, even in audio. But I’ll also have to check out the one you recommended!
@astromd Are there any other book communities in KBin or Lemmy that I can subscribe to? I can subscribe with this account even though it’s a Hometown account
@bnotwen I will try that next! I typically am not eager to read award winners but that is a great resource
@Jaluvshuskies No, it’s an alternative front end. Technically speaking, Mastodon/Hometown/Glitch are the Twitter of the Fediverse. I am on Hometown.
