Photo of the new alleged suspect:

This guy doesn’t look like an expert marksman, but I guess looks can be deceiving.

    https://abcnews.go.com/US/charlie-kirk-shooting-fbi-appeals-tips-manhunt-continues/story?id=125469211

Cartridges with “transgender and anti-fascist” writing on them were found.

Oh, were they? That’s super convenient. Almost thoughtful of the shooter to leave that kind of evidence behind but evade capture.

A lot of people seem to be writing on gun cartridges these days. Kind of a new trend I guess?

Very confused how we ended up here, but started here:

What is the symbol on his sweatshirt? I can see it’s a US flag, bit there’s some black marking over it?

      Edit: some clearer pictures here

What were you expecting? Two working arms, at least one working eye, and a fair amount of practice is all that’s required. Anyone is capable.

      Thanks for posting that link.

According to a preliminary internal report circulated inside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, federal and local officials recovered ammunition with the rifle that appeared to be engraved with statements “expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology.” But a senior law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the investigation cautioned that report had not been verified by A.T.F. analysts, did not match other summaries of the evidence, and might turn out to have been misread or misinterpreted. In fast-moving investigations, such status reports are not made public because they often contain a mixture of accurate and inaccurate information.

Started with serf ideology, then voter ideology, then women ideology, then gay ideology, and now trans ideology?! Where will it end — when every person has rights??!

We could just skip to the end, but a bunch of assholes are fighting us every tiny step of the way.

It’s weird. Phones have like 50 megapixel sensors that can photograph the hairs on a fly’s leg, yet somehow all the CCTV from anything like this is always “we think it’s a person, probably”.

Usually security is reactionary, so there isn’t an incentive to upgrade to higher resolution cameras. But there is a strong profit incentive to just keep the same old barely serviceable cameras.

CCTV writes at low resolution to reduce storage cost and improve reliability. Even if you only hold a few days of footage on rotation, rotating bigger files with cause substantially more wear on the drives. Phone videos have smaller field of views, too.

I feel a little afraid anytime I see a post trying to identify the alleged perpetrator, just since the Boston Bombing and reddit.

Not saying you’ve done so, just that it still worries me I guess.

        The FBI released that photo.

I don’t want to try and identify anybody. Actually highly suspicious of anything they say about this investigation now bc they’ve botched the shit out of this, and Trump is clearly already using this to spread propaganda against the left.

At this point the entire FBI should basically be considered an extension of Trump’s personal Gestapo. I would not in any way remotely trust anything they say. The agency, falling completely under the domain of Trump, is compromised.

It is scary. Why do you assume he did it? What reason does America have to trust any claim these people make? They are literally trying to overthrow the federal government.

There are so many cameras everywhere, especially on a college campus. I assume they were able to track all of his movements.

Unless you’re suggesting this is a conspiracy from the FBI, but I dunno I think Kirk was a valuable long term asset for them I don’t think they’d kill him on purpose. Plus why would everything yesterday be so sloppy? Wouldn’t they just Epstein kill whoever they had in custody yesterday? Or fake that they caught somebody?

Why wouldn’t they just railroad some random guy if they got sloppy and accidentally (or somebody at the top actually forced them to) allow the shooter to escape?

It doesn’t have to be some grand conspiracy. Somebody fucked up. Who takes the blame? Whoever you can use to make it stick.
